Growing inside the shirt

Heres a video I made of one of my samples growing inside a shirt. Our group wanted to portray things growing inside a shirt as it was similar to things growing inside the human body. I had to crop and edit the images on photoshop and this is my outcome.

Once our film was complete we wanted to project it onto a shirt that was open to show our concept of inside Manchester, however we felt that it just didn't look right, as a group we thought that the projections on the shirt looked better live maybe we could project onto a shirt in MOSI?

Dissolvable fabric.

From the vein like drawing i did earlier, i thought maybe i could stitch the design onto dissolvable fabric and then attach it inside a shirt to represent the veins/lines growing within the human body. However when it actually came down to dissolving the fabric, you will see in my video that the shape of my sample changes. I like the end result of the dissolvable fabric, it still has that vein like structure.

Its growing..

I got my idea for this sample from the red bricks, i was looking at the shape and colour with in. I created this by painting onto some white fabric, i took pictures of my process and then put them together in a video. It shows the mould growing and changing colour and eventually dying out. I edited the photos in the video on photoshop to make the colours stand out.
